Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. When He nished, one of his disciples said to him, Lord, teach us to pray (Luke 11:1). Today Jesus Youth is present in over 25 countries around the world. THE LORD’S PRAYER One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. As many among them travelled to different countries, they carried their Jesus Youth lifestyle along with them, leading to the formation of Jesus Youth groups around the world. Description 8, God-Centered Praying, Book 9, Know Your Enemy, Book 10, Knowing Gods Ways, Book 11, Living As Jesus Lived, Book 12, Needed Men of God. The spirituality, approach and creativity of the young people began to spread as a lifestyle.
These young people shared their experiences to those around, and as they moved into universities, schools, workplaces and cities, they continued to spread the exciting news of Jesus - forming prayer groups and cell groups.
The conference was called ‘Jesus Youth 85’ and the young people who attended the conference began to call themselves ‘Jesus Youth’. Gradually these groups began to connect to each other and in 1985, these youth groups came together for a large conference. The wave of the Holy Spirit gave rise to several youth groups where catholic youth encountered Jesus and the Gospel in a renewed and refreshing way. In the mid 1970s the flame of the Charismatic Renewal spread to India and to Kerala, the southernmost tip of the Indian subcontinent.
